Records of vital events are officially maintained by the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Department for Public Health, Office of Vital Statistics. Recent years of birth and death records are labelled preliminary due to delays in receiving records of vital events for Kentucky residents that occurred in another state.
