Estimates of Income and Poverty

Last Revised: December 2001

The tables below contain newly released data from the U.S. Bureau of the Census. State and county estimates are provided for total persons, related children 5-17, and children 0-18 in poverty, and median household income. The number of Kentucky children under 5 in poverty is also included.

School district estimates for 1995 are provided for the first time. Three estimates for each district are shown: total population, number of children 5-17, and the number of related children 5-17 in poverty. These estimates were produced at the request of the Department of Education. An overview of the school district estimates can be found at the Census Bureau's internet site.
